USCE Basics for IMGs: Writing Basic daily Labs

I probably don't need to write anything, these pics alone should talk better than me. This might be a standard practice in most countries already (pardon my ignorance), but if not then this should be useful for IMGs who have not had a taste of American medical practice yet.

On daily progress, notes - this is a standard short-hand method of representing basic labs - BMP and CBC:

I currently am doing an observership, and I have seen that figure a million times, and now I know what that exactly means. When I was asked to get the labs, I did it the old school way. Thanks.

Hey..This is soo helpful...one of the major problems i faced during my electives was Abbreviations used in US hopsitals and this LAb thing..i had to go around askng residents these stupid qs!

I want to congratulate you on your work
when u did my elective i had problems with these too but later they turn out easy n actually convenient
Another format similar to the one you posted was used for
LFTs also
if you can write that too it would be helpful for those going for future obsies/electives/externship
