DOES RESIDENCY IN INTERNAL MEDICINE(COMPLETE 3 YEARS) IN INDIA HELP IN GETTING A RESIDENCY IN THE US?

The biggest way it helps is to keep your clinical status as 'active' or current / fresh - which is valuable and certainly puts up in a good position against fresh grads with no experience in some places. However, it does not mean you will not be helped by US experience and US LORs.. US programs value non-US experience more from countries like UK, Canada and Australia. Now, during your Internal Medicine residency, try your best to have publications too.
