"International Medical Graduate Observership Requests : CMH will only allow short term observerships (two to three days) for medical graduates. All observership requests must be approved by the GME. Please contact Kerrie Jordan or Ravi Kallur." - So call (816) 983-6487 and ask for these guys

2. This is for a very short period and i would not expect an LOR out of this - but who knows, during your mini-stay if you impress the physician and try to request a longer time....;-)

Merely Writing to the Program director won't help - since administrative duties & headaches probably make the Program director more likely to say no - hence write to the faculty too. Agreed its based on chance - but a chance is a chance only if you take it ...
