USMLE Step 3 CCS offered outside USA
USMLE Step 3 CCS has never been offered outside the USA - and for the first time in 2007, it can be taken outside the Unite States - in Dubai.
In Dubai, it is meant for those seeking the Centre for Health Care Planning and Quality license (CPQ) , which is a regulatory body established as a joint initiative by DHCC and its strategic collaborator Harvard Medical International (HMI), to certify physicians working in the American-collaborative hospitals in the UAE region.
At this point I am not sure if non-UAE IMGs can take the USMLE Step 3 in Dubai - but if that's possible, it would mean saving travel money, time and taking the test on time for H1b visa for residency!
It's interesting to note that while the regular Step 3 needs IMGs to first have secured the ECFMG certificate, taking the Step 3 for CPQ license does not need ECFMG certificate - rather needs just Step 1 and Step 2 CK

Post Your Comment !but i have heard that now we dont need toefl anymore to certify levels of English but are supposed to take Step2 CS, which means visa application money travel housing... in US. If we take Step3 in US after step2 CS while the visa is still valid...then what s the point of taking another test in Dubai?
