Medical School in 2005 & U.S. Nephrologist by 2007 !

As most of you already know - To become a licensed Nephrologist in the USA, after completing medical school and taking the USMLEs, one must finish a 3-year residency in Internal Medicine and then complete a 3-year fellowship in Nephrology.

- Yes. I am a medical doctor.

Does that mean you are a nephrologist?

- Yes, you may say that.

In which state are you licensed to practice?

- Actually, I am just taking USMLE exams. I am currently at Washington Hospital as I am speaking with you. Once I complete my USMLE, I will be licensed in Maryland.

Which medical school did you attend and what year did you graduate sir?

- It is in the Caribbean and I graduated in 2005.
